Foreign Trade Zone Forum:

March 5, 8:30 am in San Jose, CA

RK Logistics’ FTZ provides importers, exporters, manufacturers, and distributors with cost savings and logistical efficiency:

Strengthened security and loss prevention
FTZs are routinely inspected and audited by the U.S. Custom and Border Protection Agency and are certified by the Transportation Security Agency (TSA) for baggage inspections.

More efficient distribution
FTZ users can move merchandise faster through the delivery cycle by controlling inventory levels and removing costly time from the supply chain.

Consolidated importing
Products made overseas may be brought into an FTZ for storage or consolidation with other products, allowing distribution of complete shipments to customers.

Duty Deferral, Exemption & Reductions
Inventory held in an FTZ is exempt from payment of US Customs duties until shipped into a customs territory. In addition, customs duty rates apply to either the imported components or the finished product, whichever is lower.

Weekly Entry Savings
FTZ users can save weekly processing fees by filing only a single Customs Entry per week, rather than filing one Customs Entry per shipment. Companies outside FTZs pay a .34% fee for every formal entry processed by U.S. Customs.
