ROD KALUNE

CEO/Owner

Rod has been in logistics and transportation since 1974, working in operations, national accounts and management, before founding the minority-owned company in1983. Beginning with transportation for Silicon Valley high-tech companies. Rod has grown the company to over 600 employees and almost 1 million square feet in warehouse facilities.

ROCK MAGNAN

Chief Operating Officer/President

Rock started with RK Logistics in 2015 as Director of Business Development and advanced to COO last year. His career spans 35 years specializing in operations, including 26 years as VP of Operations. Rock received his BS in Accounting at University of Colorado, Boulder and his MBA in Finance from UC Berkeley.

KIP SHEPARD

Vice President

Kip’s career of more than 25 years has encompassed supply chain management, warehousing, transportation, lean warehousing, and facility layout. Prior to joining RK, Kip was in operations at a startup, where he oversaw worldwide logistics, export compliance and order fulfillment, before helping take it public in 2014.

LANDON SPRING

SR DIRECTOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & MARKETING

Lando started with RK in 2014 as Sr. Director of Operations, and has held director and manager roles in engineering, quality, manufacturing, business, sales & operations. Lando holds a BS of Electrical Engineering from UCLA, a Management MA from Webster University, and is an APICS CPIM, ASQ Quality Manager and Internal Auditor.

CINDY TRAVER

Senior Director of Operations

Cindy currently leads a team of over 500 employees and staff, and is responsible for all aspects of operations across all RK’s facilities. Cindy was Director of Global Logistics for LAM Research, and before that, Director of Transportation for Safeway. Her background covers global logistics, all modes of transportation, lean manufacturing, six sigma, and accounting finance.

LAURA McCRARY

Senior Director of Human Resources

Laura oversees RK’s HR department and temporary agency partner relationships. Previously Laura worked for Safeway as a Territory Training Manager, and in IT Vendor Analytics and Administration. Her diverse experience includes training, quality systems, logistics, transportation, sheet-metal, high-tech wafer design and medical devices.

DR. DEBBIE FRIEDEMANN

Sr. Accounting Manager

Debbie has been at RK for 9 years; previously she has been a General Accounting Manager, Controller, CIO, CFO, Director of Accounting, Executive VP of Finance, and HR. She’s a software conversion specialist and has a Doctorate of Organizational Leadership in Management & Information Systems, Master of Business Administration/Technology Management, and a BS in Business Management.

MIKE POWELL

Director, Business Development

Mike began his career in sales with RK in July 2002. Over 14 years he advanced from Program Manager to General Manager, to Director of Business Development. He received a BS in Business Management, for Operations and Supply Chain Management, and is Vice President of Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals San Francisco Roundtable.
